Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten season, a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection in the Christian calendar. The service is a solemn occasion where believers receive the sign of the cross on their forehead. It serves as a reminder of our mortality and the need for repentance and renewal. The service includes scripture readings, hymns, and prayers, and is a time for spiritual growth and self-examination. This year's Ash Wednesday service is on February 14 at 6:30pm, and all are welcome to attend.
